FAQs
What’s your approach?
We teach tools. We want to help you build the habit of checking your privilege as often as you check your spelling. No matter who you are - a hiring manager, product or community-builder, or employee - our tools empower you to effectively build solutions.
Indeed, structural oppression prevails in everyday moments. Therefore, learning tools and frameworks from our workshops enables you to be the most powerful agent of change.
What is the breakdown of the recommended programme?
We understand the value of bias training within teams, our commitment with our three-part training program is to train teams to check bias as often as they check their spelling, understand the common types of bias, and understand the “how’s” of structural oppression. It’s the first step to creating a day-to-day culture that nurtures diversity and achieves psychological safety which research has shown increases productivity. In the second part, we teach teams how to apply tools and frameworks to foster inclusion in real-life work scenarios, to use their bias, privilege and identity as a tool for positive change. We train teams to filter each thought and action; optimize each decision for equality. We understand the importance of accountability which is why participants have the option to join our community which includes free resources to foster belonging in company culture as well as a premium membership option that will teach you how to be an inclusion change-maker in your team and teach the best practices for an inclusive culture.
The team would be divided into groups of no more than 12 participants and each group would then participate in part 1, Understanding Bias, followed by part 2, Fostering Inclusion and part 3, an accountability workshop.
Groups will also be invited to participate in a follow-up consultation six months from their last session so they can reflect on what learnings they have stayed accountable to.
The course outline is as follows:
Part 1: Understanding Bias (2 hours with 45 mins of pre-workshop video content to watch):
Learning Objectives
Understand how difficult it is to make truly objective decisions about individuals, especially when they come from different backgrounds and identities
Understand why objectivity is difficult and where we may have blind spots due to structural inequities and privilege
Unpack the most common types of bias we see in the workplace and perpetuated throughout society in the media and online
Learn how to have productive conversations about hiring, product and community-building to foster greater diversity and inclusion
Understand the sociological and anthropological frameworks that explain why striving for equality is so complex and challenging
Part 2: Fostering Inclusion (2 hours, no pre-workshop preparation needed)
Learning Objectives
Understand the complexity of identifying structural oppression and the divergence of lived experiences.
Challenge ourselves to consider which identities we prioritize in our own lives, from the news we read to the content we consume.
Learn what the research says about privilege and how it plays out at a structural level through society, especially in the media.
Apply awareness of privilege and structural oppression to scenarios we may encounter at work, and consider the best next steps that optimize for inclusion.
Learn how to have productive conversations about hiring, product-building, and community-building to foster greater diversity and inclusion.
Part 3: Accountability follow up session designed as a check-in for participants to reflect on what they have learnt, tools they have been able to implement and any outstanding issues that they still need support or guidance with.
Quality assurance:
At the end of each workshop participants will be asked to share feedback on everything from the content to the facilitator to the delivery format and style.
Participants will be invited to share feedback for an independent case study created by the Hustle Crew team to share insight on the priorities of the team and how the workshop has helped them in their path to progress.
Participants will be invited to join the Hustle Crew community and stay connected with other stakeholders promoting diversity and inclusion in their teams.
Do you take virtual sessions? Your prices are in GBP - can I be anywhere in the world?
Yes. A workshop can be scheduled any time between 9AM - 9PM GMT/BST. Your payment will be charged in GBP for our checkout.
How many per workshop?
For Understanding Bias and Fostering Inclusion workshops, we advise for 12 participants per workshop. For our remaining career skills workshops, we advise for 20 participants per workshop.
In our experience, this optimises for both cost of workshop and value gained per participant. Successful learning tends to occur when participants truly engage - when they ask all their questions and probe to further their understanding.
Have you delivered workshops across a whole company of hundreds or thousands of employees?
We’ve worked with globally distributed teams from day one, and this is why our approach centres on tools and frameworks that individuals can apply to their unique values and cultures, across a range of roles and levels.
We offer discounts for multiple workshops, that we can deliver to your timeframe across an entire workforce.
Do you offer SLT training?
We do! We tailor the workshop to match the business KPIs and objectives and offer support and tools to allow the conversation to continue post workshop. Please email hello@hustlecrew.co for more info.

Do you offer a discount for multiple workshops?
Discounts of up to 50% are available depending on total number of workshops.
How do I book?
Click on the ‘Contact Us’ button top right corner of our website and we will be in touch right away.
How does payment work?
We will invoice you once you confirm your booking.
Can we have sessions tailored by group, e.g. hiring managers, employees, leaders?
Yes - have your session filled with hiring managers! Actually, as we teach tools and frameworks, it’s also no problem to have a mix of anyone - each participant gains what they need to apply to their particular situation.
Do you offer support for underrepresented groups specifically?
Yes. In addition to our inclusion-based workshops Understanding Bias and Fostering Inclusion, we teach career skills workshops. These workshops for groups of up to 20 work to level the playing field: Imposter Syndrome & Building Confidence, Growth Mindset & Resilience, Art of Negotiation, and Personal Branding.
You’ve worked with startups, what about VCs?
We’ve worked with Y-Combinator, AngelList and Backed VC to help them use bias, privilege and a better understanding of structural oppression as a tool for change. Check out an endorsement from Backed VC General Partner Andre De Haes here.
Do you co-create training with companies? Or offer ‘train-the- trainer’ services? Can we create video training to store and share within our company?
We understand that for most of our workshop participants, a Hustle Crew workshop will be the first time they have discussed difficult topics in depth, surrounded by their team.
We pride ourselves on our ability to navigate complex conversations about race, bias, privilege and structural oppression as a result of the 1,000+ hours our consultants have spent immersed in social justice content and training.
For inclusion training, we do not offer co-creation or ‘train-the-trainer’ to avoid the risk that delivery won’t meet our quality and expected results. For this same reason, we also do not offer video recording. The impact of watching a video vs. partaking in a facilitated workshop is drastically different.
Can I see examples of your work in action?

You may do this via the Post a Job Ad page - simply specify your product/event at checkout (instead of a job).
